Gabriel

I need an adult-only experienced home that understands me. I can be an only dog or live with other dogs. I cannot live with cats. I may be shy now, but once I have settled I would love a nice garden I can play in! I love going for walks, and would love an active home! I know some tricks & walk well on the lead but will need help with housetraining. I have been neutered and am ready to find my forever home. Gabriel originally came to us from a breeder, and for him the world felt like a very frightening place. He was worried of people, the new environments, and unfamiliar experiences left him feeling overwhelmed, and even something as simple as having a lead put on was a huge challenge. He needed time, patience, and gentle encouragement to begin to feel safe. Gabriel was adopted for a short period, but unfortunately it was not the right fit for him, and he was returned after displaying unwanted behaviours in the home and unfortunately making the wrong choices when he felt uncomfortable in a situation, which did result in Gabriel biting. He will need a quiet adult-only home without resident or visiting children to ensure he can get the structure he is needing. Gabriel can struggle with visitors coming to the house so will need a home without too many visitors and the ability to put him in a different room when people do some over. He will need adopters who are willing to meet him multiple times to develop a bond with him!
