I'll need an adult only home to help me feel safe. I'll need a resident dog to keep me company. I do not mind cats! I need an extra secure garden and home that can accommodate my needs. I am still learning to walk on a lead, and will need my adopters to be extra secure. I have been spayed and am ready for my forever home! Read below for more info! Trixie is a very sweet lady who has come to us from a breeder in search of a new start. Although her tail is constantly wagging, she will shyly approach for a gentle fuss and tends to stay away and watch from a distance until she feels safe. Once she builds the trust, she is affectionate and will enjoy a snuggle and a gentle fuss. She can be jealous of attention and has shown jealous behaviour towards other dogs in the home. On one occasion she became defensive when another dog joined her on the sofa and reacted strongly. She also tries to position herself between people and other dogs, and does not appear to actively seek social interaction with resident dogs. She can be reactive to barking dogs and dogs that are in her face too much or too boisterous. Due to these behaviours, she will need an adult-only home that can provide her with the guidance she will need. At mealtimes she is very food focused and will take from any bowl, so she must be fed separately.
