Rosie

I would like a home filled with love and kindness! I can be an only dog, live with other friendly dogs and am also cat friendly! I would love a garden to potter around in. I love going on walks, but only need a potter around the block. I have cushing disease as well as some age related ailments. 06-04-26 Rosie is a very special little lady who has come back into our care through no fault of her own. She originally came to us from a breeder almost 10 years ago and went on to spend a wonderful decade in a loving home where it's clear she has been so loved and cherished. Sadly, one of her elderly owners passed away and the other is now too unwell to care for her, so the heartbreaking decision was made to return her to us. Rosie will be looking for a very special retirement home, as not only is she 14 years old, but she also has Cushing’s disease, which is well controlled with daily medication. She has recently had a vet check and blood tests which confirmed everything is nicely managed at the moment. Her adopters will need to be aware that this condition will not be covered by insurance, and her medication costs are approximately £100 per month. She will also need routine vet check-ups every 3-6 months to monitor her condition. Like many golden oldies, Rosie has a few age related “old lady” warts which don’t bother her and also has some other lumps and bumps, which given her age, will not be investigated further. She also has some areas of sore skin, caused by her cushings, has cataracts in both eyes and is missing several teeth. Despite her age, Rosie is still a fairly agile little lady who enjoys hopping on and off the sofa (although we encourage her to use the doggy steps!). She loves her daily potter around the block and still enjoys getting out and about for her daily walkies.
