Alfie

I would like adopters who are around most of the time. I would like to be the only dog in my new home. I do not like cats! I would love a garden to run and play in but I need 6ft fencing. I walk well on the lead but I need to work on not pulling so much. I have lived in a home before so know the basics. I am neutered and ready to find my forever home! I have a docked tail. 05-04-26 Alfie is a very sweet boy who has come to us from a home after his owner could no longer care for him. We are told that he has always lived as an only dog, although he did have a brief trial in a home with another dog. During that time, he tended to guard the other dog from the humans and, on one occasion, got into a scuffle. For this reason, he will be looking for a home where he can be the only dog and have all the love and attention for himself. That said, Alfie enjoys meeting other dogs on walks and can socialise well outside the home but he simply prefers not to share his living space. Alfie is a working breed type, so he would be best suited to adopters with previous experience of the breed or similar, who understand his needs and can provide him with appropriate mental and physical stimulation. He loves to be out and about and would thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of walks and activities. He walks well on the lead overall, though he can pull at times, so this is something we are currently working on and will need ongoing, consistent training in his new home.
