Bella

I need a calm adult only home where I can settle in at my own pace. I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I don't mind cats! I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I'm starting to enjoy my walks but I still need some reassurance. I have briefly lived in a home and started to learn all about house training. I am spayed and ready to find my forever home. When in a home environment, Bella displayed behaviours rooted in fear and insecurity, including nipping when frightened and occasional growling towards a resident dog. We have not seen any of these behaviours since coming back to kennels and she has been making great progress with trusting people however she does still need an experienced home with adopters who understand that she may initially go backwards and be more worried when first going home. Bella is ready to find her forever family, but she will need a calm, quiet, adult-only home with adopters who can offer patience, structure, and reassurance. Bella can form a strong bond with her main caregiver and may show signs of separation anxiety, so adopters will need to be around all day initially and gradually build up the time she is able to be left.
