Emrys

I am looking for an adult only home with experienced adopters. I could live with other dogs or be the only dog. I cannot be homed with cats. I’m active and would love a large, secure garden to let off steam. I have lots of energy and need an active home that loves adventures. I have a fatty lump on my right flank. Sadly, that next chapter didn’t go to plan. After several weeks in a new home, Emrys reacted negatively to the owner’s visiting adult son-in-law. He displayed reactive behaviour and later redirected onto a behaviourist when restrained on a lead. Following this incident, the behaviourist recommended that euthanasia be considered. Emrys is not a beginner’s dog. He is an intelligent, driven Collie who needs clear structure, exercise, and a handler who respects the way his brain works. Many farm-bred Collies don’t transition easily to domestic life, they need understanding, not punishment. They can become overwhelmed, fearful, or reactive when their needs are ignored, or simply not recognized. With the right person, Emrys will shine.
