Tinkerbell

I need an adult-only home with ex-breeder experience that can show me love. I need a resident dog to help me feel safe but I haven’t met cats yet so I'm not sure I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction. Please be patient with me, I'm nervous and learning everything from scratch. I have been spayed and am ready for my forever home. Tinkerbell has come to us from a breeder and has never lived in a home before, so she is understandably unsure and very sensitive to touch. She can go into panic mode if handled too quickly and may try to bite out of fear, but this does not mean she is aggressive; she is simply terrified and trying to protect herself. The initial handling is what scares her most, so patience and slow, careful introductions are essential. Since being with us, Tinkerbell has begun to settle into a routine and is starting to show small but very encouraging signs of progress. While she is still too worried to accept touch and may move away if approached, she is becoming more comfortable being around people she knows. She will now approach to sniff fingers, gently take treats, and has even started to offer little kisses, which is a lovely sign that she is beginning to build trust. She is also happy to relax nearby, often choosing to lie close by, which shows she is starting to feel a little safer in our presence.
