Aria

Meet Aria, a two year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross who’s medium to large in size. Aria is a big-hearted girl with a lot of love to give, but she’s currently very overweight and needs someone experienced with large breed dogs who can provide her with structure, patience, and consistent boundaries. Aria is a large, very overweight dog who needs someone experienced with large breed dogs and can teach her clear boundaries. They need to be confident in their training abilities or be prepared to seek out help from a trainer. She needs regular exercise in a safe environment such as a dog field until she has built up her confidence around other dogs again. She will need to be on a strict diet to get her down to a sensible weight. It is felt that Aria has become both traumatised and overprotective in her current home. She will need someone who is around most of the time but will build up some alone time for her too. She has previously used a crate and may feel more secure using one again. She will need to be trained to use a muzzle and walk on a lead or long line at all times. As Aria has been unpredictable with men lately, it is felt that she would be more suited to a female-only home. She needs to be treated like a dog and not a baby, have clear boundaries, and someone who can stick to them. She is a dog with a lot of love to give but needs to be given time and patience to settle into her new home and understand her boundaries. Aria travels well in the car and likes looking out of the window. Aria is a young girl who just needs someone with experience that understands her past is unknown but can work on her future together.
