John

John is a 7 year old neutered male mixed breed weighing approximately 30 kg, currently in foster care in Scotland. He is described as affectionate, sociable and steady-natured. John enjoys human company and has met children aged 10 and over, interacting positively with them. He is confident, playful and enjoys attention and companionship. John shares well with other dogs and is polite and easy-going in canine company. He currently lives with a cat and budgies in foster care without issue inside the home. However, when out on walks he can show interest in cats and may attempt to chase, so ongoing management will be important. He is fully housetrained and accepts wearing a collar and lead. He walks well but can pull at times due to excitement, particularly at the start of walks. Continued lead training will help him progress further. He enjoys regular exercise and benefits from access to good walking areas. John is intelligent and responsive and has good manners within the home. He would suit an active household able to provide structure, routine and companionship.
